Advanced Training Program Filled in 7 Minutes
March 31, 2008
For far too many people (and it doesn’t seem to matter what business they’re in) sales is a “Rejection Business”. You’ve heard it before… “Selling is a game of numbers.” You want to make more sales… make more calls. Make more presentations. Increase your failure rate. Do all of those things and the number of closes will also increase.
That’s wrong thinking. And at TopLine Business Solutions we don’t believe in those strategies at all… not for our consultants getting clients for themselves, and not for their clients attracting new customers for their businesses. That kind of thinking, while it does work, is insanity. And anyone who preaches or practices that kind of thinking or activity in business is not doing themselves or those they influence any favors.
“Small Business Advisers See Surge”

See the headline of this article? It’s real. That’s the exact headline that appeared in the Businesss Section of the Sacramento Bee this morning.
You can read the entire article on the Bee’s website at

It’s a good article and is reflective of what is happening around the country in our difficult times.
Another Letter of Success
March 14, 2008
Here’s an email I received the other day from one of our consultants. In his message Dan talks about a new client he just got and the help he received from Steve, another consultant who had experience with a similar business.
That’s what the TopLine program is all about… helping each other… sharing our knowledge and experiences to help each other get better results with their clients and make their consulting practices more successful.
Here’s what Dan wrote:

My name is Thomas Flint. I am a Director of Supply Chain Management and a consultant for a procurement and expense reduction consulting firm.
The Audio Business Card – A Marketing Tool That REALLY Works!
March 12, 2008
I just received an email from one of our new consultants that I thought you might be interested in. Here’s what Bruce had to say:
==========
I went to my first Chamber of Commerce Business to Business meeting today. There were only about 30 people there so it was a little disappointing on that level. I passed out my Audio Business Card, so I am interested to see if there will be any response from that.
Get Out Of Overwhelm
March 4, 2008
Here’s an article I wrote for our consultants. I thought you might like to see it as well.
==============
The other day I was talking to my very good friend, Melanie Benson Strick, from www.SuccessConnections.com Melanie is one of the premier experts on organization and getting your business to work for you, rather than you working for your business.
If you were at the Joel Bauer event in Los Angeles earlier this year, you may have had a chance to meet Melanie, as she had dinner with our group one of the nights.
As I’ve mentioned so many times, I don’t have a lot of respect for many of the self-proclaimed “gurus”, Internet marketers, or others who promote themselves as “experts”. The Internet has made it incredibly easy for anyone to position themselves in ways that are not at all representative of the true experience or value they possess, and to promote any kind of product or service as being the best of its kind and the ONE thing you need to solve your problems.
What You’ll Learn In The TopLine Consultant’s Training
March 4, 2008
I’m often asked what kinds of things we teach our consultants in our 4-day TopLine Business Solutions Consultant’s Training Workshops. Here’s what Chad Lee has to say.
But more than that, the answer to what we teach is really very simple. We teach our consultants how to work with business owners who are serious about improving their businesses and growing their profits.
If it’s more customers or clients the business needs, we’ll work with them to get more leads and/or increase the conversion of those leads into buying customers. If it’s running the business more effectively and more efficiently, we help them with that. [Read more]
The Market Needs Your Help!
March 3, 2008
As I mentioned in a previous post, last week’s training was an absolute WOW! experience for everyone in attendance. Some of the comments from the attendees were what you might call “over the top”, and the excitement about what they learned and more importantly, what they are going to do with their newfound knowledge even got me excited.
Bill sent me a short email and said, “I found the program extremely valuable as well as enjoyable. My compliments and thanks to Martin and you [Chad] for putting this together and offering it. I called my wife from PHX on the way home and told her I could have her in business and making money by the end of next week. She said ‘What business?’ I said, ˜You pick.” [Read more]
