“A Heartfelt Thank You!

“A Heartfelt Thank You!”… that was the Subject line of an email that I just received from one of our TopLine Business Solutions Marketing and Business Development Consultants this afternoon.Dan Kempka

Here’s what the body of his message said…

Hi Martin,

I hope this email finds you well.  I simply wanted to send a thank you note because your Business Consultant training has been a great help to me since we met in Phoenix last December.  In fact, I just set up a long-term contract for $10,000 per month, plus ownership equity, with a company that has been impressed with the methodology for growth I’ve applied to some short-term projects with them.  They would like to hire me full-time as a partner and COO, but I’m going to stay as a consultant in order to continue with my mission to build Painless Profits, which is becoming a profitable Social Media and Search Engine Optimization company.

The training you gave will forever be invaluable to me!

Thanks,

Dan

What a nice note to send to someone. And Dan, I REALLY do appreciate your comments, and am so honored to have been able to be of help to you in developing such a successful small business marketing and business development practice.

If you take a close look at what Dan wrote, he’s getting $10,000.00 per month, PLUS ownership equity. How’d he do it? By doing some short-term projects for them.

“Short-term projects”? Is this the way to grow or start a business? I thought you teach NOT to do “project” work. That once a project is completed you’re unemployed. So what’s up with this?

That last paragraph is exactly what I teach… don’t do project work. At least not as the primary method of running your business. But getting started? Doing it on occasion? Giving your prospective clients a “taste” of what you can do for them prior to them having the confidence that you’re the guy or gal that can deliver… and prior to them signing a longer-term committment and writing out that retainer check?

Yep. That’s exactly right.

Go to the mall and walk around the Food Court. Go by Chick-Filet and see what happens. The young lady is standing out front holding a tray of pieces of chicken with toothpicks in them. She offers you a free sample, and if you like it you may buy a chicken sandwich.

When Debbie Fields started Mrs. Field’s Cookies, she did the same thing… passed out samples of cookies, and if you liked them you might buy a dozen at full price. If not, you kept on moving. It’s called “sampling.” And it works like a charm.

That’s exactly what Dan did. Except he modified the concept a little. He didn’t do the work for free, he did some short-term projects for his client, got paid for them, and they liked what he did so much they signed a contract for $10 Grand and ownership equity, and even wanted him to work full time for them as a partner and COO.

Not bad.

But as good as that offer was, Dan could see that continuing to build his own consulting practice could be much more profitable, as well as not tie him down to a full time committment, and enable him to work with other businesses.

This is exactly how the TopLine Business Solutions system works. And it works for big businesses, medium size businesses, and small one and two person “mom and pop” shops. Seminars, Workshops, Consulting… they’re all a part of the TopLine mix, and any one of them can help you create a very sizable income and enjoy a very comfortable lifestyle… just as Dan is creating for himself.

Now think about it. How many $10,000.00 per month clients do you need to make a comfortable living? And when you add in the money you make on your contingency or commission, what kind of picture does that give you?

You gotta believe me when I say that there is money in this business. And right now… in this very economy when businesses are struggling more than ever in the recent past… TopLine consultants are doing better than they’ve ever done.

So what about you? What are you doing about your current position? If you’re not satisfied with where you are or what your future is, what are you going to do about it, and when are you going to start? It ain’t gunna happen by itself. You’ve got to be proactive.

If I can be of any help to you, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
